'Good teaching is not about distributing facts; it begins with the teacher learning how an individual student best absorbs knowledge. Teaching techniques therefore can be as varied as human personalities. No matter how a lesson starts or progresses, it should always end with both student and teacher feeling a little more enlightened.'

Joe gives lessons in the following:

Classical, Acoustic, Rock, Folk, Blues & Bass guitar

Accompaniment styles

Music theory & history

Composing/song writing

Private lessons are available to all age groups and levels of ability, and are tailored to suit the requirements of the individual. Students also have the option to study for internationally recognised certificates and qualifications in music theory and performance from grade 1 to diploma level through the following institutions:

The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music

Trinity College London

Rock School

LCM (Registry of Guitar Tutors)

'Among the most beneficial things a teacher can pass on to students are the tools of technique and analysis which will ultimately give them the ability to teach themselves.'
